Actorize.com is a service provided by Medialore L.L.C. (Medialore L.L.C. dba Actorize hereinafter referred to as "Actorize").
Actorize respects the privacy rights of the users of the Actorize.com Web site ("Web site") and wants you to understand what information we collect from our Web site users and how we use the information we collect.
CHILDREN
Some Third Party Agents, Agencies and Casting Directors represent themselves as providing services for young performers (e.g. for child actors). This Web site is not for use by children. If you are under 18 years old you must ask your parent or guardian to use the site on your behalf.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information that we collect from you will depend upon your use of the Web site, as outlined below.
Information You Give Us
We receive and store any information you give us through the Web site or any other way, for example in e-mails or calls to Customer Service. We may require more information from a person who is using the Web site to find a job listing, for example, as opposed to a person who is merely using the search tools to find information on a particular agency.
Automatically Submitted Information
We receive and store certain types of information when you visit the Web site. For example, our online store makes use of "cookies." Cookies are alpha-numeric identifiers that our Web site and its components transfer to your computer's hard drive and which are returned to us by your browser when visiting certain parts of the Web site. Cookies assist us in processing your purchases in our online store and enable us to recognize you as a returning Web site customer and/or member. We require cookies to be enabled in order for you to purchase items from our online store. Actorize collects IP addresses for security, system administration and reporting aggregate information to our advertisers. When you visit a page on Actorize, our servers log your IP address, but we do not link this IP address to your personally identifying information. This means that while your activity is logged, you remain anonymous to us. We use this information to determine how to make future visits more convenient and productive for all Actorize users. We can, however, and we will use IP addresses to identify users when we believe it is necessary to protect our users or other parties, enforce compliance with our Terms of Use, protect our service, the Web site, and to comply with the law. We also collect browser type, access time, and the URL where a user is entering or exiting the site. Also received is the phone number you use to call our toll-free number.
Information from Other Sources
For those Agents, Agencies and Casting Directors Actorize lists on the Web site, we may receive public information through our research, fax and telephone calls, various sources on the Internet and in the media, and from other sources. We endeavor to display only public information for such third parties unless the third party requests and provides us with additional information. If you are one of these third parties, we may attempt to contact you to verify the accuracy of public information and whether you want any additional non-public information displayed in order to reduce any inconvenience to you. For example, we may ask you whether your preference is to receive or not receive particular types of communications from actors. We will display such information if you permit to help you avoid communications you do not want. If you choose not to receive such communications from Actorize, you may opt out at any time by informing us at any time.
HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION
How We Use Your Information
Actorize will not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifying information to third parties without your prior consent. We may, however, disclose certain non-identifying aggregated information so we can provide general statistical information to third parties about the users of our services. Furthermore, any use of personally identifying information will be in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We will not use your personally-identifiable information for any purpose other than as set forth herein unless we believe such disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights, or the safety or rights of other users or the public.
All personally-identifiable information that Actorize collects is used directly for customizing your visits to and use of the Actorize Web site. On certain portions of the Web site you may request that Actorize display certain personally-identifiable information to the public and/or third-parties representing themselves as actors, agents, casting directors, filmmakers, and/or other figures in the field of acting, media and entertainment. The choice of whether to display such information is solely at your discretion. We will use the information you provide in connection with providing the service you requested. Please be aware that Actorize has no responsibility for and cannot guarantee the proper use by any third party of such information you request Actorize display to the public and to any other third party.

Your e-mail address is used to send you administrative messages or other necessary communications regarding your use of the Web site (for example, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail if we receive your customer service inquiry, and a confirmation by e-mail if you place an order on the Web site). Only if you choose to let us do so, Actorize and its affiliates and subsidiaries may also use your e-mail address to notify you of new features or services available on the Web site or events or services available through Actorize or its subsidiaries and affiliates. Use of "Cookies"
Cookies assist us in processing your purchases in our online store and enable us to recognize you as a returning Web site customer and/or member. We require cookies to be enabled in order for you to purchase items from our online store. You may turn off the use of Cookies (please check the documentation or help files for your particular browser) but then you may not be able to use certain features of the Web site or make purchases. Cookies are not used to track your personal activities. We only use cookies to assist us as described above, and also to track aggregate activity on our site, such as how many people have accessed a particular page in the past month. This helps us improve Actorize based on how our members are using it.
Business Transfers
As Actorize grows and develops, we may buy or sell business units. Such transactions typically involve the transfer of assets including customer information. Such customer information would remain subject to the promises made in the previously existing Privacy Policy, unless the customer consents otherwise. In the event Actorize or substantially all of its assets are acquired, assets such as customer information would typically be transferred.
SECURITY
Security Implementations
Actorize realizes how important security is to you, so we have taken steps to enhance the confidentiality and safety of information you transmit to us over the Internet.
We make use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, with encryption and the use of a Digital Certificate provided by Verisign. Your purchases and membership and subscription payments are processed through Web pages protected by this SSL technology. Your credit card and other billing information are encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet. Further, we do not store credit card billing information on our server after your payment is completed; this is the reason you must enter a credit card number each time you order from us. While somewhat inconvenient, it helps protect your credit card information from online theft. A Web page protected by SSL is indicated in recent Netscape browsers by a small closed padlock on a yellow background (lower left corner of the browser) and in recent Internet Explorer browsers by a yellow closed padlock (lower right corner of the browser). Clicking the closed padlock symbol will display additional security information regarding the Web site. You can verify the authenticity of our Digital Certificate through Verisign by clicking the Verisign Secure Site graphical logo displayed on our Web site.
Purchases
You may make purchases of products on the Web site without choosing a User ID and Password. You will be required to provide information necessary to verify, process and complete your order, and notify you of your order status. Rest assured that your credit card and billing information is still handled through SSL encryption technology.
In order to make your shopping more convenient, you may make purchases of products on the Web site with an account you set up in our online store on the Web site. This account will store personally identifiable information you provide, but will NOT store credit card numbers or expiration dates. You will be required to choose a User ID and Password. You will be required to provide information necessary to verify, process and complete your order, and notify you of your order status. To ensure your security and confidentiality of your personal information, NEVER reveal your User ID or Password to outside parties. Actorize will NEVER contact you to request your Password or User ID. In the event that you believe the security of your User ID and Password have been compromised, you may change both by contacting Actorize through its Customer Service department at its toll-free number listed on the Actorize Web site. Rest assured that your credit card and billing information is still handled through SSL encryption technology.
You may also order products by mailing a copy of your completed order page from the Web site and submitting payment by check or money order to Actorize, 1771 Post Road East, #314 Westport CT 06880. Orders shipped or delivered to a Connecticut address must include 6% Connecticut State Sales and Use Tax on any retail product purchases such as Labels. Your order will be shipped upon clearance of the check or money order. Actorize cannot be responsible for any checks or money orders or other information lost en-route to Actorize. Please do not send cash!
Links To Other Sites
You should be aware that when using the Website, you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control. For example, if you click on an advertisement or a link in a news article, you may be taken to another site. We are not responsible for and do not endorse or recommend any of the content on these sites, nor are we responsible for your use of these sites or any transactions you perform on them. Be aware that any policies that govern the Actorize Web site, including this Privacy Policy, do not govern the linked Web sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of such sites before disclosing any personally-identifiable information.
Your Interaction With Others
Due to the nature of the service processes supported by Actorize, users may desire to exchange detailed information with the public or other actors, agents, casting directors, filmmakers and/or other figures in the field of entertainment (all except the public referred to as "Entertainment Professionals"). In these situations, you should exercise your own judgment regarding the information you provide to others while using Actorize. They do not necessarily abide by the terms of the Actorize Privacy Policy and their uses of the information you provide to them may vary.
